Planning Your Office Space
Planning Your Office Space is vital to your productivity. A well planned office space can help you be more productive.
How is your space?
Here is a great 3D tool to use in creating that image and preparing your space. It allows you to add doors, windows and then start to add furniture from the perfect view.
Watch the Clutter
This started when were children when our parents kept telling us to keep our rooms clean. Keeping a desk that is free from clutter allows us to be more productive. Gives us Freedom from a cluttered mind and saves time. The old cliche out of sight out of mind is perfect in this setting. In other words our mind is not on overwhelm seeing ALL the things we have to get done. There is power in a clean office…
Choosing the RIGHT color
Color not only affects your mood but it affects your productivity. It is common knowledge blues and greens are calming, reds are stimulating and yellows and purple encourages creativity. With that being said, what are you trying to create in your work space. Your industry many times will dictate the colors you use. Just remember when choosing your paint colors it will appear two times darker than the swatch in a large room.
Avoiding wasted time and depression
If possible make sure your office has a window or at least the light of one with a window. The other area to watch is if at all possible never place your desk against a wall where are you see is the wall. Lighting is very important for keeping the person using the office upbeat and happy.
Movement for more focus
Make sure your office allows you space to get up on a regular basis. Stretch and relax your eyes with a short walk. There are also many productive exercises to be done at your desk.
